Covid 19 Safety Protocols
On May 18, Governor Baker gave us a reopen date and new guidelines to follow. We will be opening both locations on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. We now know there are going to be a lot of changes to the way we do business:
The biggest change for us is that we are required to transition to an appointment only service immediately upon reopening. We will no longer be accepting walk-ins at this time.
We are limiting the number of people in the shop in accordance with state guidelines.
At the time of your appointment, please come to the door so we know you have arrived.
Customers will be asked to provide their first and last name and a reliable phone number to support contact tracing efforts from the state upon making an appointment. Additionally, you may provide an email address to receive updates from us.
If you are feeling ill at the time of your scheduled appointment, we respectfully ask you to call us to reschedule your appointment. This is for the safety of all of our customers and staff.
Small children must be accompanied by one adult. Please let us know when you are booking the appointment if it is for a child so we can ensure that we are adhering to the occupancy restrictions.
Families with multiple children must make an appointment for each child. Only children with appointments will be allowed in the shop and only at their scheduled time. If your children are scheduled at different times, please plan accordingly. We want to make sure that children are properly supervised, even if they are waiting in the car.
People who require assistance may have one other individual with them. If you know that you will be bringing an additional person with you, please let us know the circumstances so that we may plan accordingly.
Everyone must wear a mask to enter the shop. Service will not be provided to anyone without one. Earloop masks work best for haircuts. This is for everyone’s safety. No exceptions.
The new guidelines also require us to use personal protective equipment (PPE). We are required to change gloves, disposable smocks and capes for every haircut.
Cleaning and sterilization measures will increase beyond our already high personal standards. This includes all tools, surfaces, seating, and common areas. All nonessential amenities, such as magazines and toys have been removed for your safety.
Social distancing between stations will be required. This means we will not be using the middle station in either location.
Non-hair services are currently not permitted. This includes mustaches, beards, and eyebrows. We look forward to reintroducing these services once restrictions are lifted.
We will no longer be offering straight razor shaves. We will still be using the straight razor for the back of the neck. The Massachusetts Barber Board does not allow the use of the straight razor beyond the natural hairline.
We will be adhering to all federal, state, and local guidelines as well as all recommendations from the CDC.
To account for the increased cost of operation, reduced capacity and the mandated changes to our business model, we will be introducing a new price structure.
Beard Trims* $10
Seniors (65+) $18
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
If you have read these guidelines and agree to them, we invite you to call 774-633-1795 to make an appointment.
All of the barbers, myself included, look forward to seeing you. We are grateful for the support, well-wishes, and understanding we have received during this uncertain time. We are excited to get back behind the chair and serve you all once again.
